US to hold talks in Paris with Europeans

Donald Trump’s special envoy Steve Witkoff and the chief diplomat Marco Rubio will talk to Europeans in Paris today to discuss the end of the Ukrainian War.

David Lammy, the British Foreign Minister of Foreign Affairs, also forms the highest level of the Atlantic crossing for war after February.

In recent months, the US government has not been in a hurry to consult with the European allies.

Thursday meetings are important for what happens without anything else. Witkoff and Rubio will see French President Emmanuel Macron and his team.

The US Secretary of State will talk with Lammy with France and Germans. European national security advisers will also participate.

The US State Department said it will focus on how to finish the battle in Ukraine, and Witkoff will report on meetings with Russian President Vladimir Putin last week.

European diplomats said they would urge the United States to put more pressure on Russia to agree with the ceasefire.

An official said, “We want the United States to use more sticks.”
