Black Smoke dominated the Sky Line of Port Sudan by attack.

The increase in water prices is only a week of air attack on the Red Sea cities of the port.

If it is regarded as a relatively safe refuge in the destructive civil war of the means, the port means are now bombing in the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) quasi -military group.

Even after the 6 -day drone attack, the acting is still increasing in the three fuel stores targeted. The rescue team gathers around the destroyed place, but is struggling to make a fire.

Two years ago, the conflict, which began with the struggle between the RSF leader and the army, created one of the world’s worst humanitarian crisis and forced more than 12 million people at home.

One of the people who fled with the port was 26 -year -old mutasim, who did not want his second name for safety reasons.

The BBC told him after waiting for a few hours until the water supplier appeared.

Important products are lacking. Due to the explosion of the fuel storage, we have left the port means without diesel used to supply power to the pump that causes groundwater.

Mutasim told the BBC that the cost of water supply all day long was costly 2,000 pounds ($ 3.30; £ 2.50) a week ago, but the amount is currently being claimed five times.

It leaves seven other members of him and his family without much water for cooking, cleaning and bath.

“We will not be able to afford it soon,” he explained that he bought and sells basic products from the market.

Water is not the only challenge in the port means.

Everyday life returns to normal, and the market and shops are open, but people desperately wait for fuel, and there are many cars outside the city’s gasoline station.

Mutasim said, “It can take five hours to get gasoline.

Many means faced before, but in this city, it is not.

Before the recent attack, people could go out at night and enjoy themselves.

Until last week, port means were one of the few places that were considered to be protected from the worst of the North -South War.

Mutasim said, “We came here two years ago from Omdurman.

To establish a new place, $ 3,000 (£ 2,250) was expensive for the family.

“We had to leave our house by RSF, so it was relief. Life began to return to normal.”

“We were planning to move because we are no longer safe here, but where should we go too expensive?”

Port means have been experiencing power outages for the last two weeks, which has been worsened by the latest attacks.

Mutasim said, “My aunt is over 70 years old and there is no electricity for fans at night, so I have difficulty in heat and humidity.”

“We can’t sleep.”

Hawa Mustafa is not sure what to do next after the port means is hit by a drone attack.

Hawa Mustafa, a teacher from El-Geneina in Darfur, found a refuge in the port.

She has been living with four children in shelter for more than two years. She said this week’s attack, she said, “I lived in fear.”

“The drone came to us and we returned to war and lack of safety,” she said to the BBC.

“The sound of drones and anti -aircraft missiles reminds me of the first day of the El Kunny or War.”

Hawa lives without a husband who can’t leave home because of the deterioration of security. She is now responsible for her family.

“I don’t know where to go if the situation worsens in the port means. I planned to go to one of the neighboring countries, but this dream will not be realized anymore.”

Another person in the city, Mariam Atta, told the BBC that “life has changed completely.”

“We are struggling to cope,” she said. “Fear is constant.”

People who live in the port Sudan Camp are helped by the original agency that uses the city as a distribution hub.

Since the civil war of Sudan began in 2023, humanitarian agencies have depended on the gateway to help the port means due to the only functional international airport of the port and the state.

Used to provide food support from organizations such as UN’s world food programs.

Leni Kinzli, a WFP spokesman for Sudan, said, “Port means is our main humanitarian hub.

“In March, we had almost 20,000 meters of food, and we would clearly say more than half of the port means,” she told the BBC.

The WFP said that there are now famine in 10 regions and 17 more dangerous.

Many aid agencies are now concerned that these attacks can block the flow of aid and worsen humanitarian situations.

“I think this will seriously limit the delivery of life and medical supplies that save life.”

He added that the agency will find another country as a country, but it will be difficult.

The city is quiet at night.

Before attacking, people gather on the coast and some will watch football in local cafes. However, the electricity blackout has left the city in the dark, and the residents are chosen to stay home for security reasons.
