China’s largest hot pot chain Haidilao has proposed to compensate more than 4,000 restaurants who visited one of Shanghai branches.
During a meal in a private room, the video of boys peeing in a soup pot was widely shared online last month. I’m not sure who photographed the case.
The police said the 17 -year -old boys were detained shortly after the incident.
There is no proposal for anyone to spend the influenced broth. HAIDILAO apologized to the customer, replaced all hot pot equipment and meals, and disinfected other oils and instruments.
The incident occurred at the end of February, but the company’s executives were found only a few days after the video was distributed in social media.
Haidilao said that the employees at the time did not stop their teens.
The company took dozens of outlets in the city, so it took a week to find out what kind of outlet it was.
Haidilao’s restaurant cooks food using his personal hot pot equipment, and broth is not reused to other customers. However, in this case, it is not clear whether the hot pot has a thorough cleaning and disinfection before the next customer uses.
“We fully understand that this incident can not be completely compensated in any way, but we will do our best to take responsibility.”
HAIDILAO said that customers who ate at the outlet between February 24 and March 8 would receive a full refund and cash compensation 10 times the claimed amount.
The company has expanded rapidly since its first restaurant in Jianyang in Sichuan. Currently, we operate more than 1,000 restaurants around the world.
HAIDILAO is famous for its customer service and family -friendly atmosphere, and ladies can receive manicure, and children are treated with candy room while waiting for the table.
