Man Hunt is in progress in West Germany after three bodies were found in a residential building in Weitefeld in the Westerwald region.
The police recommended the residents of the surrounding area to stay at home, and according to local media reports, people warned people not to pick Hitchhiker.
The German Outlet Build reported that police helicopters were deployed and cars were being checked for vehicles entering the village and leaving.
Details of murdered people were not disclosed.
The police spokesman told Bild that the emergency call was on the local time (2:45 am BST).
Weitefeld has about 2200 people.
