“Mutual tariffs will still come into force on April 2, but at the request of USMCA companies, the president gives them a one -month release so that they are not in an economic shortage,” Levit said.
She told reporters that Stellantis, Ford and General Motors were companies that Trump was talking to.
“They asked for a call. They made the question, and the President of the Council to do it,” Levit added. “This is one month’s release.”

In mid -February, Trump signed an executive order by introducing mutual tariffs for US trading partners, effectively raising import duties to comply with those charged with America’s export.

Trump’s administration seeks to complete its review of trade by April 1 and plans to focus on what it calls the most “outrageous” questions, including with big trading countries with the US and the highest tariffs for US goods.
The president’s tariffs will comply with the increase in the tariff rates of other countries and send to the confrontation of other trade barriers, such as the rules of burdened, the value added taxes, state subsidies and exchange policies, as well as negotiate with some countries to reduce these barriers.
