There are still time to deal with the dispute that is underway on the eve of the rematch of Ben Whittaker with Liam Cameron, says the British boxing board of control.
Whittaker will fight Cameron in a long -awaited light removal on Sunday 20th April, live on Sky Sports.
They met for the first time in October when the Whittaker Olympic Silver Medal failed to continue, due to the injury, after both fighters fell over the upper rope and outside the ring in the fifth round.
The technical decision then saw the final treatment as a draw.
This controversial area, however, encouraged Cameron’s proposals to ‘give up’, encouraging the fiery upgrading ahead of Sunday’s conflict at BP Pulse Live Arena in Birmingham.
Days away from the rematch, rival camps were locked in a dispute over whether the fight would challenge over 10 or 12 rounds.
But the British Boxing Board for control said that there is still time to get rid of that question before Sunday’s fight.
Robert Smith, Secretary General of the BBBOC, said Sky Sports: “It’s a matter of contract.
“It should not be necessary (for the committee) to intervene. The time to resolve, which I am sure it will be.”
‘Judgment Day is April 20’
Whittaker and Cameron should face each other at a press conference on Friday before the Sunday competition. Their war of words was a feature of their engagement before the fight.
“It was hard there and when it got difficult, you want a way out,” Cameron told Whittaker earlier. “When it hurts and the fight does not go your way, he wanted from there.
“He wanted a single part (of that).”

“Fortunately enough judgment is April 20th.”
He added, “It was my worst version and its best version. When I appear on April 20, you will see my best version.
“Running is not what you want, it’s a loss in my eyes, I’m really wrong and I’m really excited to do it.”
