If Secretary of Health and Human Services Robert F. Kennedy is the younger speed of the stork operation, it should support a strict examination of all pipelines that nourish babies, including baby formula manufacturers and breast milk jars.
This is, according to Peter Pitts, a former food and addicts commissioner (FDA), who stated that a child formula deficit in 2022 emphasized the need for more personnel schedules and means to maintain risk management strategy.
Both formula and breast milk are important, viable options, which means that they must be backed up by strong quality supervision and reasonable scientific standards for safety and accessibility, Pitts said.
“Breast milk deficiency noted that the supply chain has a problem. You have a problem with overseeing. There is a problem with marking. It has not been considered years,” said Pitts Fox Business. “We must make sure that foods such as breast milk and infant formula are just as reliable as drugs.”

Children’s formula resembled that FDA did not comply with the rules
Kennedy announced on Tuesday that the FDA will carry out a number of initiatives aimed at ensuring constant quality, safety, nutritional and resistance to the internal child formula. As part of these actions FDA increase testing on Heavy metals and other harmful chemicals.
Agency also allows you to get more personal food imports and urges companies to cooperate with FDA to improve label transparency. The FDA will also maintain regular connection with consumers and stakeholders to ensure transparency, providing updates on nutrients, health results and other significant developments. It will also work with scientific organizations such as the National Institute of Health, to address critical spaces in research related to short -term and long -term feeding formulas through childhood and childhood.

The FDA has good production practices that should follow the manufacturers of the children’s formula, Pitts said. However, more frequent and careful checks are needed to avoid the problems that have arisen when Michigan Ebot plant was closed in 2022 because of the pollution, which led to parental fear and reducing faith in the normative process, he added.
“It’s one thing to have books, this is another matter to determine them,” he said. “Priorities do not involve wine.
Pitts also noted that the presence of the stork speed does not impede the security of either a medium -sized breast milk or a child formula.

Pitts claimed to make breast milk banks are a “real normative gray zone”. He said they did not constantly check the federal authorities, but they should be.
“If we want to have options, all these options should be safe and effective,” he said.
Fox said Fox Business that the company is looking forward to cooperating with Kennedy, FDA and scientific and medical communities to continue to make baby formulas even closer to breast milk.
“Every ingredient in our formulas is purposefully selected for the type of baby we feed, and their unique dietary needs, and we are constantly working to bring our formulas to breast milk.”

Kennedy announced a day after the consumer investigation revealed “relatively” arsenic and presenter in some childhood formulas. However, most of the formulas did not have the level of pollutants, the study found.
Children’s formula manufacturers, including Abbott, also question the research methods, claiming that comparing the powder infant formula with the standards in drinking water was inappropriate because the powder formula was diluted before consumption.
