Diversity, justice and inclusion (Dei) Initiatives will continue at Apple after a bad voting of shareholders to NIX relevant programs.
On Tuesday, shareholders loudly rejected the attempt to overcome Dei’s initiative on Tech Behemoth.
During the meeting, Stefan Publing, Executive Director of the National Center for Free State Policy Research (FEP) said that Dei “regularly discriminates on the basis of race, sex and other demographic categories”, calling the “illegal” programs “
“The mood change is obvious. Dei is out. America is in,” he said, citing the recent executive order of President Donald Trump on diversity programs.
Apple’s vote for analysis and assessment of “charitable gifts” for progressive groups has also not passed.
Last week, the Apple Council asked for shareholders to vote “NO” to the proposals criticizing the company’s contribution to progressive groups and calling on the technology corporation to stop its implementation of Dei.
