Economic Partnership will protect the Ukrainian people and US taxpayer

Although much reported about the economic partnership, which President Donald Trump has offered his Ukrainian colleague Volodymyr Zelenskyy, there is a lot of this, which was incorrectly represented or simply wrong. So, I welcome this opportunity to understand how this partnership benefits both peoples.

Without the support of the US and the American people, Ukraine’s position would be dangerous today. The US support allowed the Ukrainian peoples of historical and valiant protection, and, as a result, we are now on the verge of a peaceful transaction for Ukraine and updating stability in Europe.

As previously reported, Zelensky suggested giving the US a share in the elements of the rare land of Ukraine and critical minerals during a visit to the Trump tower in September. In other words, it was the Ukrainian president that the President of Trump first offered the future, economic partnership with common payments for both countries.

We know that the economic future of Ukraine during peace can be more prosperous than any other moment in the country’s history, and partnership with Americans will ensure its prosperity. President Zelensky recognizes this, as well as President Trump. Considering these facts, I traveled to Kiev at the first international visit as a secretary of the Treasury with a proposal that demonstrates our long-term commitment to free and safe Ukraine-referral, focused on the economic growth of the country.

This partnership will support the US constant commitment to the residents of Ukraine, as well as the basis for reliable reconstruction of the Ukrainian economy. While the asset prices may be convincing, Ukrainian debt is traded on the news, signaling that Ukraine’s lenders and financial markets evaluate the benefits of economic partnership.

The Ukrainian people demonstrated incredible courage and stability. They deserve to enjoy the benefits of freedom for which they so heroically fought. Ukraine is endowed with natural resources and other national assets that can stimulate its post -war economic growth, but only if its government and people are armed with sufficient capital, experience and correct stimuli.

The conditions of our partnership believe that the profit obtained by the government of Ukraine from natural resources, infrastructure and other assets, allocated to the fund focused on long -term reconstruction and development of Ukraine, where the US will have economic and legal rights in this future investment. This structure and relationships bring high standards of transparency, accountability, corporate management and legal frameworks necessary to attract reliable private investments for post -war growth in Ukraine.

US participation will not leave a place for corruption and insider transactions. When I was in Kiev, I met with many US companies that were on earth in Ukraine for years. And I talked to many others who are ready to support the Ukrainian economy through a fair and lasting peace. The conditions of this partnership will mobilize US talents, capital and high standards and management to accelerate Ukraine’s restoration and sends a clear message to Russia that the United States is invested in free and prosperous Ukraine in the long run.

The US is a lasting and long-term partner in this regard. Revenue revenue revenues will be reinforced back into key sectors focused on unlocking more Ukraine growth assets. The terms of this agreement also ensure that countries that did not contribute to the protection of Ukraine’s sovereignty will not be able to use its reconstruction and these investments.

The US has always been creative in search of ways to better support its partners. In 1942, the United States and the UK agreed “to promote the mutually beneficial economic relations between them and the improvement of world economic relations”, based on the exchange of rights in the Caribbean. Such a promising position helped to lay the financial basis for unprecedented economic growth, which has survived over the last 80 years.

In a similar direction, President Trump’s innovative approach is a new model for a productive international partnership. Let’s understand that this is not the case. The US will not accept property assets in Ukraine. Also, it would not be Ukraine with greater debt. This type of economic pressure, which is located by other global subjects, is promoted by either American or Ukrainian interests. In order to create greater value in the long run, the United States must be invested with the residents of Ukraine in order for both sides to be stimulated to get as much as possible.

A close neighbor of Ukraine, Poland, showed that it is possible. Thanks to healthy economic policy and diverse economy, Poland was an attractive trading and investment partner for the US. Since 1992, Poland’s economy has been more than three times the size of GDP, while the income per capita of citizens today is more than seven times higher than then. The success, which Poland saw from structural reforms, investments in infrastructure, attracting foreign investment and developing a qualified labor, provides a clear viewing of what Ukraine can achieve. Its strategic location, hardworking population and natural resources are a strong basis for the aspirations of the Ukrainian people.

President Trump’s proposed partnership corresponds to the interests of the American people with interesting residents of Ukraine. The President acknowledges that national security has been built with economic security, and the more successful and safe post -war Ukraine, especially since both the Ukrainian people and the US residents will benefit. This economic partnership would put the basics of lasting peace, sending a clear signal to the American people, the people of Ukraine and the government of Russia on the importance of the future sovereignty and the success of Ukraine for the US.
