Ukraine will try to persuade the US to restore exploration and military support in bilateral talks on high lobes, convincing Donald Trump that Lodzimir Zelensky wants to stop at war with Russia quickly.

Officials have informed about the preparation for negotiations in Saudi Arabia, stated that Kiev should propose a partial ceasefire with Russia for a long range of drones and missile strokes and combat operations in the Black Sea, hoping that the progress of negotiations would lead Washington to change its decision.

Ukrainian negotiators go to Saudi Arabia on Monday after the first days without US support, which led to the country’s troops abandoning the Russian territory they had seized last year in the Kursk region.

One of the Ukrainian official added that Kiev would be in a short -term priority to remedy his ties with the US, while two European officials said Kiev saw progress in the ceasefire negotiations as a quid Pro for rebooting military and intelligence assistance.

“The purpose of any negotiations between Ukrainians and US authorities in Saudi Arabia will, in particular, agree on resumption of assistance,” said Fedir Venislavsky, a deputy of Ukraine of Zelensky and a member of the Parliament National Security Committee at the end of last week.

US Secretary of State Mark Rubio will be in the Saudi city of Jedda from Monday to Wednesday to negotiate, with a short “promotion of the President’s goal to stop the war of Russia-Ukraine,” the spokesman said.

In the comments to Fox News on Sunday, Trump did not mention the bilateral talks directly, but said he was sure that the “valuable” deal with minerals would soon be signed with Kiev.

He rejected criticism that he was relatively mild against Moscow, which he threatened last week after suspension of assistance to Ukraine. “Nobody was tougher in Russia than Donald Trump,” he said.

American pressure on Kiev forced the Zelensky administration to change its position after a catastrophic meeting on February 28 at the White House.

“The tactic has changed,” said Volodimir Fesenko, a political analyst based in Kiev. “Now the most important thing (a thing) is the normalization of relations with the US, and if the plan first receives security guarantees, and then press the ceasefire, now it is obvious that this will not happen in this order.”

He added: “Trump says that Ukraine does not want to cease fire, so the goal for us is to show the US that we are ready to act as soon as possible and start direct negotiations with Russia.”

Zelensky told the EU leaders in Brussels on Thursday that he wants to reach a common scope from the US, which would pave the way for further, more detailed agreements on minerals and security guarantees.

A broader deal will start with the cessation of air attacks, surgery and energy blows and other civil infrastructure.

This will continue with the exchanges of prisoners and the return of Ukrainian children abducted by the Russian authorities, measures designed to create confidence between the two sides.

President of Ukrainian will go to Saudi Arabia on Monday to meet with Prince Calker Mohammed bin Salman, and the next day talks on Jedi began.

Ursula von der Leyen, president of the European Commission, said Brussels and Kiev “work very closely together”.

While European officials say about 20 countries, led by the UK and France, noted that they could create a “coalition of those willing” to support Ukraine after the ceasefire, Trump has still refused to take support for such force.

Last week, the US president was angry when his Ukrainian colleague suggested that the agreement on the end of the war was still very distant. “If someone does not want to make a deal, this person will not be a very long time,” Trump said.

But, according to European officials who spoke with their Ukrainian colleagues, Kiev did not abandon the role in the realization of the ceasefire, who spoke with their Ukrainian counterparts.

They show that it may include, but not limited to them, the use of US satellites or intelligence signals to check the ceasefire.

On Sunday, NBC News reported that it would be that mineral transactions would not be enough for Trump to recover help and exchange. It adds that the US president also wanted Zelenskyy to change the position on peace talks, including concessions such as abandoning the territory of Russia, and move to the election in Ukraine or even to leave the presidency.

“Ukraine is looking for peace from the first second of this war,” Zelensky wrote on Saturday on Platform X. “Realistic offers are on the table. The key is to move quickly and efficiently.”

Last week, the Russian Foreign Ministry press secretary Maria Zakharova stated that “some respite is absolutely unacceptable” without “the final settlement”.
