Barry Ferguson started dramatically in Rangers, as they came to Kilmarnock with two goals to secure a victory in their first Scottish prime minister’s game as a temporary boss.
The former captain said the chance was to run his club, but the early goals of Joe Wright and Brad Lyons threatened to turn it into a nightmare.
Clinton Nsiala was hooked after only half an hour and a change was inspired while visitors were installed in Vaclav Cerny before a break.
Early, the usual missed chances of Cyriel Dessers were, but a double -dual -double -dual blow turned the Rangers fans to cheer for joy, and Nedim Bajrami got off the bench to finish winning the fourth late.
Rangers are returning to the end of Celt with 13 points, Kilmarnock is 10th.
Ferguson brings the fighting spirit to the Rangers
It was the case of new faces, old debris for Rangers as they bounced off from a tumultuous few days after Philippe Clement.
The home side forced a series of corners and from the 11th minute, Fraser Murray’s Delivery Unmarked Wright broke his head next to Butland, and Marker Robin Propper took away aside.
And three minutes later Lyons intercepted a short passage from the midfielder Gers, Nicolas Raskin, moved forward and twisted the ball from 20 yards past Butland.
Visitors were everywhere.
Killie striker Marley Watkins missed two big chances before Ferguson brought Ridvan Yilmaz for Nsiala, and the Turkish left back crossed the right back, and skipper James Tavernier moved inside to ProPper’s partner.
Dessers were supposed to reduce the deficit in the 34th minute, but his four yard shot was blocked by defender Lewis Mayo.
But a few moments later Cerny slid the ball under O’Hara after running on Mohamed Diomanda Pass, and Rangers returned to the game.
Killie yelled as the break then reached re -launched, only to admit a second in the 53rd minute, when Desers left O’Hare from James Tavernier.
And Nigeria striker put in rejuvenated visitors in front of the 62th minute when he took the Yilmaz passing in search and ran from 16 meters, racing on the GERS fans behind the goal to celebrate.
Ayrshire also answered in the 76th minute Butland pushed out a shot from Corrie Ndabe of danger, and O’Hara beat the speculative ride from Igamane at the other end.
A few minutes after he got off the bench with home defense wide open, Bajrami took a passage from Diomanda and drove past O’Har to seal the points that looked a little probably after half an hour.
