The Labor Party said she had rejected the deputy for the north -east Somerset and Hanham on Saturday after he learned about his arrest.
Police Evon and Somerset said the man was arrested on Friday and was released on his own recognizance.
The force stated in a statement: “In December 2024, we received a referral from another police, which were allegedly unrelated to the children of sexual crimes committed against the girl. Most crimes were supposed to have occurred in the 2000s, but we are also investigating allegedly crime since the 2020s.”
The investigation, led by a rape group and a serious investigation into a sexual attack, continues “early on,” the statement said, the press service reports. “The victim is supported and provided for any assistance or support from a specialist.”
The Press Secretary of the labor said: “MP Dan Norris was immediately rejected by the Labor Party when he was informed of his arrest.”
The party said it could not comment further until the police were investigating. According to people, familiar with this issue, Norris lost the parliamentary whip.
In 1997, Norris was first elected to the House of Commons as a MP in Vansen, Somerset, and served this constituency for 13 years before losing the place in 2010. He was appointed Minister of Rural Affairs Gordon Brown during the Prime Minister.
In 2021, it was elected west of the mayor of England before returning to the parliament in the recycled constituency in the July election.
His arrest first reported the sun on Sunday.
Norris did not immediately respond to a comment request.
