France 24 spoke to the Attorney General of the International Criminal Court (ICC), Karim Khan. Last October, he announced that he reopened an investigation into Dr. Congo in allegations of crimes committed since 2022 in northern Kivu, a boycott in the east of the country. Since then, fighting between the Rwandan -backed M23 rebels and the Congolese army intensified. Speaking to France 24 of the Congolese capital Kinshasa, Khan called on allegations of crimes against civilians in northern Kivu “very dangerous.”
