The situation in Haiti is now an “unprecedented humanitarian crisis” with “residents on the brink of hunger”. This is according to Charity Actionaid, who says that nine out of 10 people there are now all day without eating. It also says that 99 percent of all families in Haiti go without meals, and sometimes for several days at a time.
