Tesla takes the European Union to the court because of the definitions imposed by the bloc on electric car imports from China.
The European Court of Justice published a confirmation of the case, which was submitted by the Shanghai company, which is affiliated with the company, Tesla, on its website on Monday morning without providing more details.
The American company is following BMW in Germany and many Chinese car makers who have submitted claims against the European Union.
In October, the European Union imposed a 7.8 percent anti -communication tariff on Tesla and reached 35.3 percent on imports of other Chinese electric vehicles. This was in addition to a 10 percent standard import tariff for industry.
The issue is the latest confrontation between the European Union and the head of the billionaire in Tesla, Elon Musk, adviser to US President Donald Trump.
Musk is an explicit critic of technology organizing in the European Union, and the far -right alternative to the Germany Party has supported the country’s election campaign.

The deposit did not provide any details about the argument of Tesla. The case against the European Commission in the General Court will be heard, and the second highest court in the European Union, and the ruling can be appealed to ECJ. The process may take about 18 months.
Tesla executives said they are amending their import policy from China to respond to the European Union tariff. The company is currently exporting the Model 3 vehicles from Shanghai to the European Union, while the Y model is produced in Berlin.
