The terrain conditions are rapidly exacerbated, with a critical shortage in basic stocks and dissolving malnutrition, especially among children.
“Tents are no longer available for distribution,” UN spokesman said Stéphanie Tremblay told reporters in regular news in New York.
She noted that families in Bani Suhaili, Guvešterat Khan Younis, recently received only minimum amounts of blankets and tarpaulins. The displaced population in Khan Younis reported overcrowded shelters and severe lack of food, water and medicine.
Influence on children
Children are among the worst affected. In March, the number of children receiving supplementary feeding occurred by more than two thirds, according to humanitarian partners, raising acute malnutrition concerns in the middle of the health service collisions.
In addition, hospital operations are further written in limited access to medical material.
“Humanitarians are more difficult to operate because it has not entered Gaza for now. We are now in the wee week of this and as a military operation,” said Mrs. Tremblay, adding that the Israeli authorities continue to deny the planned mission coordination.
“Today, only two of the six planned humanitarian movements that are coordinated with the Israeli authorities are facilitated. The remaining four were rejected, including one mission to take the fuel from Rafah, which is urgently necessary.”
Despite insecurities and access restrictions, humanitarian organizations continue efforts to assist vulnerable families. Community Kitchens are preparing more than a million meals a day, but this remains insufficient for most 2.1 million people in the enclave that relies on basic support assistance.
